The Ephemeral Orchestra is a large improvising ensemble led by Juan Andrés Ospina, bringing together outstanding musicians in a structure where music is created collectively. The performance moves freely from danceable grooves to abstract soundscapes, evolving organically with the energy of the audience and the moment.
Premiered at La Mercè Barcelona 2025, the project is conceived as a fully improvised large-ensemble experience in which songs, lyrics and choral refrains can emerge spontaneously, often inviting the audience to become an active part of the sound. Audience interaction plays a central role, shaping the musical direction as it unfolds.
