ABOUT THE PIECE

“Yasé Mehóku Rira” is a cumbia originally composed during my years at Berklee and first recorded in a version for six winds and rhythm section on the album BBB: Barcelona, Bogotá, Boston (2009). The big band version can be heard in a live performance available on my YouTube channel.
